November 4th, 1895

On November 4th, 1895, 12 of Salem's most distinguished citizens met to organize a golf club. These men were Frank W. Benson, Henry P. Benson, Lincoln F. Brigham,Hulings C. Brown, William W. Coolidge,Andrew D. Lawrie, David M. Little, Charles Pousland, Dr. Edward L. Peirson, Francis A. Seamans, Arthur W. West, and George West.
